Concert at Gardsetra

Synnfjellet has been an active farming area, where farming goes far back in time. In the past, many farms in Norway had a mountain lodge (shieling) where the animals were on summer pastures. Today, only 1 % of the approximately 100000 mountain farms in Norway are in use. Gardsetra is located on the north side of Synnfjellet and was built up as early as the mid-1700s. Today, during the summer month July, you can experience how a traditional mountain farm was run. This is a beautiful place with a lot of happy animals, peace and restoration for the soul.
